Who would have thought? Both Lloyd and I lasting 25 years! No big plans for this evening other than an early supper in town, then off to bed for him before he goes to work at midnight. But at least we have supper together so that's a good thing. A year ago we were talking about what we would like to do on our 25th anniversary in a years time. Several ideas were tossed around but in the end, real life dictates exactly where and what you will be doing to celebrate. But it's okay, at least now we're living in the same house in the same province! It's all good! I did wake up to a lovely gift bag sitting on the counter. Inside was a small white box with a beautiful locket inside. What a lovely surprise!
Lloyd has been busy this week painting his garage inside. It was pretty much done when I got home on Monday evening. He still has the floor to do, and that will take quite a bit of prep, but in the meantime he can begin to at least utilize some of the wall space to hang tools etc on, up off the floor. We're expecting rain for the next couple of days so some things will have to be moved inside temporarily. But it's nice to see the end coming into sight and to know it's the end of the tunnel, and not the light on the front of a train!!
We're expecting Lloyd's sister Heather and husband Kim to be arriving sometime in the next few days. At the same time, we have two friends coming from Ontario, to stay at their respective summer properties. Patti is coming from Inglewood to attend the Cavendish Beach Music Festival and spend a few days at her cottage. Linda is coming from Guelph to bring a friend to visit her cottage here on the island as well. They both have fairly tight schedules so not sure how much time will be spent with them, but if not this trip, then next time. It's usually either feast or famine when it comes to visitors. But we look forward to seeing them all!
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a couple of photos of Meghan (2) from her dance recital. I mentioned that she looked much older than 12 going on 13 years. Turns out she looks even older than I thought, as I was reminded that she's only 11 going on 12. Yikes!
Yesterday I received this photo from her mom, sporting her new glasses. Not sure how she feels about that, but she doesn't look too distressed in the picture. Obviously this photo displays her studious side, quite a contrast to the glamorous side of a few weeks ago. Now this looks more like the 11 year old we all know and love!
