Wednesday, September 25th - a very wet fall day here on the island

It's not that cold this morning, 9' but it will only rise to 13' later and rain pretty much all day. It's looking like that might be the norm until the weekend when it will warm up a bit so that's something to look forward to.

I have to wish our friend Bernie a very happy birthday. It was actually yesterday but we celebrated on Monday evening. We joined them for supper and a couple of drinks after work because:
     a) he was going to be busy on Tuesday and not sure when he'd be home
     b)Tuesday is our dance class

In the end he came over and had supper with Lloyd so he didn't have to eat his birthday supper all alone! We had our second dance class last night. For reasons not quite clear to us, the two gals who were in our class last week have been moved elsewhere. So now it's just me and Brenda. Guess our awesome talents were just too intimidating for the others (yah, right!). This is a good thing for us as we're really slow and now we can just move along at our own pace. We pretty much just did the same steps as last week but we didn't have those down too well yet, as he really did throw a lot at us the first week, so we need to practice those more this week.

I have one more photo from the weekend. There was a second plane that James went up in at the Guelph Airport. This one was a four seater so his mom and brother were able to go up with them as they soared over the area.

Sitting in the co-pilots seat --- for now...
It was great that the weather cleared up on Sunday and it seems like a fine time was had by all.

Due to a bit of a delay in obtaining his criminal background check, Lloyd doesn't start his new job until next week. That gives him a little bit of time to work around here. He's supposed to help Bernie with some work on the farm for a couple of days, but not sure if that will be happening in the rain.
