Tuesday, September 23rd - not a bad way to start the fall, with lots of sun and milder temperatures

Conditions at 9:30 pm: 11'
Expected tomorrow: only a high of 13' expected on Wednesday but it should get warmer again later in the week, up around the 20' mark. Perhaps another nice weekend coming up

Wow, what a storm we had on Monday morning. It was raining quite hard when I left for work but in town it was crazy. There were flooded streets and parking lots everywhere. The big Superstore on University was delayed opening due to flooding. The news Monday night showed college students with their pants rolled up to their knees navigating the water in the parking lot. It was insane. And just as quickly as it came, it was gone. A really strange day indeed, although the high winds continued throughout the day and over night.  But then today was lovely. A beautiful sunny day for the most part, with a few clouds here and there, and mild temperatures to usher in the autumn.

Lloyd has been in Halifax since Sunday evening. He was due home tonight. I expected he would be here when I  got home from Community School, but such was not the case. He arrived home sometime later. He had a good couple of days training and was pleased, for the most part, with his new hearing aids. In the right circumstances, they performed really well. There's still some fine tuning to do, I'm sure, but so far so good.

We had a good class. We continued with our braiding and learned how to sew the works together. At least in theory.  Brenda finished her class and after lunch she joined our class, to chat and catch up with the other ladies in our group, that she knows. This is a picture of what we're hoping to accomplish over the next few weeks. We'll get back to you on that! We've got a ways to go. I've decided my first mat will be for Cooper to lie on in front of the fire. He won't care that it's a mish mash of colours that has the odd mistake.

And finally, a big Happy Birthday to our friend Bernie who's celebrating on Wednesday the 24th!
