Not much news today other than the fact that Lloyd is arriving a little after 2:00 this afternoon. I'm taking my lunch at that time so I can go and pick him up.
As promised earlier in the week, here are the a couple of more recipes from last Friday night.
Tabitha made a layered dip that I don't really know the name of, but the recipe went something like this and it was really good!
1 cup sour cream
1-8 oz package cream cheese, softened
8 oz lean ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 cup shredded tex mex cheese (or cheese of your choice)
Mix together the sour cream and the cream cheese. Spread onto serving plate
Brown ground beef and taco seasoning, using only ½ the amount of water indicated on the seasoning package
Simmer for 5 minutes and spread on top of the sour cream/cream cheese mixture
Cover with layers of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced green onions and any other veggies you wish to add
Top with shredded cheese
Serve with nacho chips
Charmaine supplied a lovely hot and creamy dip that we reheated in the oven. She tells me it's from the Epicure spice collection of recipes and and it can be found on their website, so if you have those spices give it a try, it's really good:
