And speaking of yesterday, what a feast we had.
Today's post is short on words, but then a picture does tell a thousand stories....
On my way home from work I picked up mussels, potatoes, etc, etc and then set to work right away upon my arrival. Brenda sent a text message shortly after to say they were on their way with the lobsters.
We made some potato salad while the mussels were steaming and the butter was melting. The table cloth was put on the picnic table and the table set.
First course, steamed mussels with garlic butter
Then it was back inside to steam the lobsters.
Onto the serving tray - do you think this is enough for the four of us?
Not to worry, there's another 10 steaming in the pot!
"It's ALL good!"
Now seriously, does it really get any better than this?
A nice hot towel to wipe the juice off our chins
Thanks guys, it was a great evening!
A special nod this morning to Fran, who couldn't make it to supper!
The next time you and Katy come down, make sure it's in June.
Meghan and Caitlin, a little something to share with your co-workers
- just another typical Tuesday night supper here on PEI!
